In plain terms: Ekonix does not create user accounts, does not track your behavior, and does not store your personal research data on our servers.

Ekonix ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by South Shore Capital LLC ("South Shore Capital") and provides the Ekonix mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We do not collect or store personal information on our servers, including: user accounts, names, email addresses, behavioral tracking data, analytics, location data, or contact information.

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following information locally on your iOS device using Apple's secure storage mechanisms (SwiftData and UserDefaults):

• Research Portfolio: Stock symbols you add to your research list
• Personal Notes: Any notes you write about companies
• Ratings: Star ratings you assign to stocks
• Custom Tags: Tags you create to organize your research
• App Preferences: Your settings and preferences within the App
• Disclaimer Acceptance: Whether you have accepted the App's disclaimer
• Subscription Status: Your subscription state (managed by Apple)

4. Public SEC Data Access

When you search for a company or view financial data, the App retrieves publicly available information from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's EDGAR database through our backend service. This includes:

• Company financial statements (revenue, earnings, assets, liabilities)
• Quarterly and annual filing data (10-Q, 10-K forms)
• Institutional investor holdings (13F-HR filings)
• Company identification information (CIK numbers, ticker symbols)

This information is already publicly available to anyone. We simply retrieve and present it in a visual format.

4.1 Network Requests

When using the App, network requests are made to our backend service. These requests:

• Contain only the stock ticker symbol you are researching (e.g., "AAPL")
• Do not contain personal identifiers such as your name, device ID, or Apple ID
• Do not contain your IP address in our application logs (though Cloudflare may temporarily process IP addresses for security purposes as described below)

5. Third-Party Infrastructure

5.1 Our Backend Infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers)

We use Cloudflare Workers to host our backend API that retrieves SEC data. When you make a request:

• Cloudflare may temporarily process your IP address for security, performance, and abuse prevention purposes
• We do not enable Cloudflare Analytics or tracking features
• We do not store or log IP addresses in our application
• Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to their infrastructure services: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

5.2 SEC EDGAR

Financial data is retrieved from the SEC's EDGAR system. The SEC's privacy policy applies to their services: sec.gov/privacy

5.3 Apple App Store and StoreKit

If you download Ekonix from the Apple App Store or purchase a subscription:

• Apple processes your download, purchase, and subscription through their systems
• Apple's Privacy Policy applies to those transactions: apple.com/legal/privacy
• We receive confirmation of your subscription status from Apple but do not receive your payment details, Apple ID, or other personal information

6. User Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

6.1 European Economic Area (EEA) Users - GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the following applies:

• Legal Basis: We process minimal data (stock ticker requests) based on our legitimate interest in providing the App's services and your consent to use the App.
• Data Minimization: We collect only the minimum data necessary (the ticker symbol you search for) to provide our service.
• Your Rights: You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing of your personal data. However, since we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, these rights apply primarily to data stored locally on your device, which you fully control.
• No Profiling: We do not engage in automated decision-making or profiling.
• Data Controller: South Shore Capital LLC is the data controller for any data processing activities.

6.2 California Residents - CCPA

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with specific rights:

• Right to Know: You have the right to know what personal information we collect. As described in this policy, we do not collect personal information.
• Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of personal information. Since we don't collect personal information on our servers, you can delete local App data by deleting the App.
• Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell personal information to third parties.
• Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Local Device Data: Your research portfolio, notes, ratings, and settings are stored on your device and retained until you delete the app.

Backend Cache: SEC financial data is cached on our servers for up to 7 days for performance. This data contains no personal information.

How to Delete Your Data

To delete all your local data, simply delete the Ekonix app from your device. Press and hold the app icon, tap "Remove App," and confirm. This permanently deletes all locally stored data. Since we don't store your data on our servers, there is no server-side data to delete.

10. Data Security

Since your research data is stored locally on your device:

• Your data is protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
• iOS encrypts data at rest when a passcode is enabled
• We recommend using a strong passcode and keeping your iOS version up to date
• If your device is lost or stolen, your Ekonix data is protected by iOS security

For our backend services:

• All communications between the App and our servers use HTTPS encryption
• Our backend does not store personal data
• SEC data is cached temporarily (up to 7 days) to improve performance

11. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App is intended for adults interested in financial research and investing topics.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the App, please contact us. Since we do not collect personal data, there would be no data to delete, but we are happy to address any concerns.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Providing notice through the App for significant changes

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

We are not registered investment advisors, and nothing in the App constitutes financial, investment, or legal advice. Please consult with qualified professionals before making investment decisions.
